The package ships with the full client and the update launcher. You do not need the original Ragnarok installed. The launcher verifies your files on every start and downloads only what changed.

How to download and play

    Step 1

    Download the Arcanis package

    Click the download button on this page. The file is large — use a stable connection and do not pause the download. If your browser warns about the file, choose "keep": it is our client installer.

    Extract into its own folder

    Create a folder such as C:\Arcanis and extract everything there. Avoid the Desktop, "Program Files" and folders synced with OneDrive or Google Drive — antivirus and sync can corrupt client files.

    Create your account on the site

    Use the "Create account" page here on the portal. The username is 4 to 23 characters (letters, numbers and _) and the password 4 to 31 characters with no spaces. Keep these details: they are exactly what you type in game.

    Open the launcher and update

    Run the Arcanis Launcher (right-click and choose "Run as administrator" the first time). It checks your files and downloads only what changed. Wait for the bar to reach 100%.

    Log in and create your character

    Click "Start", enter the username and password you registered, pick the Arcanis server and create your character. Your first stop is Prontera: talk to Celestia for your welcome buffs.

    Stuck? Fix it like this

    Missing DLL error: install DirectX 9.0c and the Visual C++ Redistributable packages. Black screen on start: run the game windowed from the launcher. "Failed to connect": make sure the launcher finished updating and temporarily whitelist the game folder in your antivirus. If nothing works, ping the staff on Discord.
